PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
The Single Girder Grab Overhead Crane is a specialized material handling solution designed for lifting and transporting loose, bulk, or non-free-flowing materials using a grab bucket attachment. Unlike standard hook-lifting cranes, this crane is equipped with a motor-driven clamshell or orange-peel grab that opens and closes to scoop, carry, and discharge bulk cargo such as coal, ore, sand, scrap metal, or waste. Its single girder design offers a lightweight, cost-effective, and space-saving alternative to double girder grab cranes, making it ideal for lighter-duty bulk handling applications.
TECHNICAL DATA
APPLICATION
1.This crane is extensively used in coal handling yards of thermal power plants and steel mills, where it scoops coal or coke from stockpiles and delivers them to crushers, furnaces, or conveyor feed hoppers with high cycle efficiency.
2.It is essential in port terminals and inland river docks for unloading bulk cargo vessels, including iron ore, bauxite, grain, and fertilizer, transferring materials from ship holds to shore-side storage or directly into trucks.
3.The crane is widely applied in scrap recycling centers and metal smelting plants, using heavy-duty grabs to handle shredded scrap, turnings, pig iron, and copper cathodes for furnace charging or baling press feeding.
4.In waste incineration and municipal solid waste treatment facilities, this crane mixes, transfers, and feeds waste into hoppers or combustion chambers, with the grab bucket designed to resist corrosion and abrasion from heterogeneous refuse.
5.Additional applications include cement plants, chemical fertilizer factories, and glass manufacturing facilities, where the crane handles raw materials such as clinker, gypsum, phosphate, pet coke, sand, and soda ash with minimal spillage and dust generation.

FEATURES
1
Dedicated grab hoist mechanism – features two rope drums (closing and supporting) or a motor-driven opening/closing system for positive grab bucket control without slip or premature opening.
2
Single girder lightweight design – reduces dead weight, wheel load, and building structural requirements, offering a cost-effective solution for lighter bulk handling duties (typically 1–10 tons grab capacity).
3
Heavily reinforced grab bucket – available in clamshell (for loose materials)
4
Anti-slew and anti-swing control – optional electric or mechanical features
5
Dust-proof and corrosion-resistant options – includes sealed motors, IP-rated electrical enclosures, and stainless steel or coated components for harsh environments like waste handling or chemical plants.
